Clarky Candles - Candle Care Guide

To enjoy your candle safely and get the best burn, please follow these simple steps:

Before lighting, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch using wick trimmers. Remove any excess wick, matches, or debris from the wax pool. A wick that's too long can cause soot and black smoke.
Burn your candle for at least 1 hour but no longer than 4 hours at a time. The wax should pool evenly from edge to edge, about 1/2 inch deep. Avoid burning the candle until the wax reaches the edges too soon, as this can cause tunneling and uneven burning.
After each burn, trim the wax to 1/4 inch. Take care of the wick by using a wick dipper to straighten and re-center it.
Never blow out your candle, as this can cause hot wax to splatter or create a flame trail nearby.
To extinguish the flame, gently use a candle snuffer to cover the wick just above the wax pool. This helps smother the flame safely.
Allow the wax to cool and harden completely before replacing the lid or relighting your candle.
Do not burn the candle all the way to the bottom of the container; stop when about 1/2 inch of wax remains. Burning too low can cause the container to overheat and may lead to fire.
Always burn candles away from flammable items, children, and pets. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
